LIT Prompts: Create and Run LLM Prompt Templates for In-Browser Content
LIT Prompts, developed by david.colarusso, is a Chrome extension designed to assist students in exploring the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering. This project, brought to you by Suffolk University Law School's Legal Innovation & Technology (LIT) Lab, allows users to create and save prompt templates that can be used with any OpenAI-compatible API.
With LIT Prompts, users can leverage data from their active browser window, such as selected text or the entire text of a webpage, as well as input text provided by the user. These templates can also interact with each other, enabling the creation of complex interactions. For instance, users can summarize a webpage, ask questions about its main conclusions, or inquire about specific statements made by individuals. Additionally, LIT Prompts supports tasks like translating selected text from one language to another and drafting replies in the original language.
This Chrome extension provides a powerful tool for students and researchers to experiment with LLMs and prompt engineering. By utilizing the capabilities of OpenAI-compatible APIs, LIT Prompts opens up a world of possibilities for exploring and analyzing in-browser content.
